"It Takes a Village to Raise the Roof" is the first annual Gala for this worthy non profit organization.  I will be participating in the event by donating one of my original paintings for the Auction.  There will be a live band and food and drinks.  See above site and phone no. for tickets. 

St. Andrew’s Village is a faith-based, mixed-use Village community where both adults with developmental disabilities and non-disabled individuals can live, work, worship, and socialize throughout their lifelong journey. Born of a partnership between parents and regional community members to provide for adults with special needs, St. Andrew's will be the first com­munity of its kind in the state of Louisiana. The development is scheduled to break ground in 2010 with eight village homes. The community will also include a clinic, an athletic facility, a chapel, stores and restaurants which will facilitate employment of adults with disabilities and create positive interactions with the residents of Abita Springs.

Juried Group Exhibition sponsored by the Int. Asso. of Pastel Societies.  My painting "Abstract Cornflowers"
was selected for the show.  I am proud to announce that this acceptance helped me earn the Master Circle Award by the Society which is an honor I will be formally awarded at the 2011 Convention.  This is a master pastelist designation by this prestigious society. 

Every other year the International Assoc. of Pastel Societies has a WEB SHOW.  My painting, "Horses Washed Blue II" has been juried into this show, which should be online the beginning of October.
